Assignment Task

TASK 1 - answer the questions below.

Organisational ethics refers to the application of ethical values to business behaviour. Ethical values are important to an organisation and its employees. They operate in all parts of the business from decision making to how the company treats its staff and stakeholders.

1. Explain the concept of ethics and what it means to an organisation of your choice.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative supports businesses with increased brand awareness and recognition.

2. Explain how businesses contribute to the wider community? You may want to use a case study to support your answer.

TASK 2 - Case Study and Questions

An international soft drink company is due to launch its signature soft drink that will be introduced all over the world. The soft drink must comply with food and health regulations. The soft drink company will need to comply with a variety of legislation to trade in the UK Market where the law is stricter than in other countries. To address this, answer the following questions.

1. What ethical guidelines will the soft drink company need to follow to market drink in the UK?
2. What marketing and advertising laws will the company need to comply with?
3. What food and health regulations will need to be considered?
4. The company will be gathering, storing and using information about potential customers. With which legislation must the organisation comply to ensure the protection of customers and their data?

TASK 3 - Scenario and Questions (presentation and slides are not a requirement)

Scenario: You are asked by your manager to deliver a presentation on ‘the importance of team collaboration in a workplace'. Write a summary of your presentation. You could use a real organisation of your choosing to develop your response. In your answer you should consider the following:

• What policies guide collaborative working?
• How do you collaborate outside of the organisation?
• How well does your organisation collaborate in diverse teams?
• What strategies could be used to motivate a team?
• What are the consequences of poor collaborative working?
