Submission Format:

Task 1: Produce a briefing paper of the situational analysis carried out for Just Eat, to support the goals and objectives within the marketing plan. The briefing paper will also include comparative research (applicable to the 7P's) of a competitor. Your research should be referenced using the Harvard referencing system. The recommended word count limit is a maximum of 2000 words

Task 2: Develop a marketing plan for Just Eat including goals and objectives. The plan should include the 7 elements of the marketing mix. The recommended word count limit is a maximum of 1500 words

Unit Learning Outcomes:

LO2 Compare ways in which organisations use elements of the marketing mix (7Ps) to achieve overall business objectives.

LO3 Develop and evaluate a basic marketing plan.
Assignment Brief and Guidance:

With reference to assignment one, you have been appointed as the new Marketing Manager for Just Eat. The first objective you have been set is to research the competition and produce a marketing plan based on your findings.

Task 1: Compare how Just Eat and one of its competitors use the various elements of the 7Ps marketing mix. This will be submitted as a briefing paper for the marketing team.

The briefing paper will explain how the marketing mix and marketing process is used to achieve business objectives, relating to the two chosen organisations. This research will inform your situational analysis (SWOT/PESTEL) and enable you to formulate marketing goals and objectives for Just Eat based on the comparative findings.

Task 2: Ensuring that all the relevant areas are covered (please see below - example of a marketing plan) produce a marketing plan to meet the marketing goals and objectives of Just Eat. The marketing plan should include all elements of the 7Ps marketing mix; the plan should also tactically apply the 7 P's to achieve the overall objectives of Just Eat.
