Question: Critically discuss the way in which organizational structure/design, can affect culture and the management of people.

Part 1: Analysis and Argument

• This is an essay and not a report and therefore MUST be written in an essay format with smoothly flowing critical discussion of the above question.

Part 2: Literature review (Readings)

• The essay should provide a critical discussion of the different structures/designs within organisations (e.g.: Flat/Tall)
• Your essay should reflect an understanding of the theoretical models associated with organizational culture and how this influences the management of people.

Part 3: Business cases and examples

• Applying the theory to an organisational context through the use of appropriate case studies.

Part 4: Referencing

• Referencing appropriate theories and concepts, demonstrating reading beyond the basic texts.
