Mental Wealth: Professional Exchange and Applied Research

* Assessment 2: I- SPECIFICATIONS: Research Proposal

Research Proposal is divided into two sections
Research Proposal written assignment.
Multiple Mini Interviews.

Research Proposal written assignment:

This assignment is compulsory for all students enrolled in the HR 7004 course.
You are expected to present a Research Proposal in 1500 words, the marking criteria of which are given below.
The Research Proposal can be submitted on any topic or area of study related to the student's program or specialisation.

A research proposal starts by defining the general area of the research, which takes into account one's previous work and experience. It may be an area one wants to move into or a topic related to what one has already worked on in any capacity.
The idea for a proposal may arise from:
Discussions one have had with colleagues;
Discussions at a conference;
A academic paper one has read;
An experience one has encountered at workplace; etc.
Once the overall area is determined, it's then time to drill down, decide, and define a research problem within that field.

Research Objectives

Where a research aim specifies what your study will answer, research objectives specify how your study will answer it.
They divide your research aim into several smaller parts, each of which represents a key section of your research project.
Research Objectives focuses on how the aim will be achieved by being specific and laying down the objectives in numbered list.

Literature Review

A comprehensive literature review of a topic requires the author to explore the knowledge available and identify gaps in the literature so that one can develop their research question.
In a review of the literature one must demonstrate that they:
Understand the context of the research and where it is being undertaken.
Are able to identify what is known/not known about the research subject.
Identify key definitions and variables already established in the literature.
Critically analyze the limitations and difficulties in previous studies.
Identify research opportunities in the field.
Justify their research question.

Conclusion
A well-written conclusion provides you with several important opportunities to demonstrate your overall understanding of the research problem to the reader. These include:
Presenting the last word on the issues you raised in your paper.
Summarizing your thoughts and conveying the larger implications of your study.
Demonstrating the importance of your ideas.
Introducing possible new or expanded ways of thinking about the research problem.

Assessment 3: Reflective Account

This is a 1,500 word reflective account:

This is a personal reflection about you, and should be written in the an academic reflective style.

Firstly for breadth, you will reflect briefly upon your experience of this module HR7004. This section will briefly list what you learned each week (focusing on a max of 3 weeks), what engaged you, what surprised you and how it will potentially impact your employability or wealth creation. Support your statements with a suitable example from your professional or academic experience and reference theory to credible academic sources. (‘citethemright' Harvard referencing style)

For depth of reflection, you will reflect in depth through the application of a reflective model.

This would be the In-Depth analysis of ONE of the mental wealth competencies. How you are more aware of the situation and in the light of your increased awareness of the mental wealth competencies through HR7004. The reflection should finally record how this mental wealth competency will potentially impact your Employability, Professional Fitness and Wealth creation. Your future course of action in terms of acquiring or further developing the chosen mental wealth competency should also be elaborated

Choose ONE of the models listed below and apply it in full, to properly structure your reflective report.
