SYSTEMS DYNAMICS & SIMULATION
Course Description
This course covers the dynamics of different models and emphasizes on the tools and methods needed to apply systems thinking and simulation in complex real-world settings. The course uses systems dynamics and simulation models to depict solutions for real world problem in business and environment.
Course Objectives
The objectives of the course are to,
• Introduce students to the methods of formulating qualitative and quantitative models using the available data
• Teach students the different models that are using in solving problems
• Teach students how they can use mathematics models to formulate and solve problem
Expected Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to,
• Define Simulation, Systems Dynamic and a model and how they relate
• Explain the different types of models used in solving world problems
• Identify and formulate a problem, and device a mathematical solution or simulation model out of it
