RESEARCH METHODS

Course Description:

This course exposes the student to the theoretical and practical concepts of research. It provides the skills, methods and competences that are necessary to collect, analyse, summarise and present quantitative and qualitative information.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Explain basic terminologies used in research.

2. Be familiar with data collection methods.

3. Describe the various data analysis and reporting techniques.

On completion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Apply data collection methods in the research process.

2. Analyse qualitative and quantitative data.

3. Produce research reports.
