PROFESSIONAL ETHICS IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING
Course Description
The course provides awareness of the legal, social, ethical, professional and contemporary issues commensurate with the practice of a computer engineering career.
Course Objectives
The Course aims to provide students with understanding and skills on:
(i) Standards and professionalism in a Computer engineering career;
(ii) Legal environment within which a computer engineering professional operates;
(iii) The professional societies that govern the behavior of computer engineering professionals;
(iv) Professional responsibilities to client, employer and public.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, the student should be able to:
(i) Appreciate the role of standards for a practicing computer engineering professional;
(ii) Practice a computer engineering career with due regard to legal, ethical and social issues.
