OPERATING SYSTEMS
Course description
This course introduces learners to the services and workings of operating systems. It exposes them to details on how an operating system controls all the processes of a computer system including those of peripheral devices.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the student should be able to:
a) Describe the role of an operating system in the management of system resources;
b) Acquire an in-depth understanding of the processes and principles involved within the design and operations of operating systems;
c) Explain how the performance of the computer system can be measured.
