One of the most significant developments in the Early Modern period was the "discovery" of new lands outside of Europe, the settlement of those lands and the formation of the Atlantic System. After discussing the various scientific and technological developments that made such exploration possible, identify the countries involved , the challenges they faced, and the eventual impact of the Atlantic System on Europe as well as on the indigenous populations involved.
