NUMERICAL METHODS
Course Description
This course introduces the numerical methods mathematical concepts and their applications to solving engineering problems
Course Objectives
By the end of the course students should be able to:
i) Enhance their knowledge of numerical methods concepts and theorems to Computer Engineering
ii) Translate quantifiable problems into mathematical terms and solve these problems using numerical methods.
iii) To present problems numerically, interpret them, and draw appropriate conclusions
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:
a) State and prove appropriate theorems explain how a theorem applies to specific examples;
b) Apply the concepts and techniques of the syllabus to solve appropriate engineering problems;
c) Understand and apply appropriate algorithms;
d) Use mathematical and other terminology appropriately to communicate information and understanding;
e) Use ideas and techniques from numerical methods, which are widely used in Computer Engineering
