MATHEMATICS FOR INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Course Description
This course will focus on the fundamental concepts of applying mathematics in information systems knowledge. It further emphasizes the introductory mathematics required for a student to take advanced topics in mathematics in later stages of the course.
Course Objectives
The objectives of this course are to,
• Introduce the students to the fundamentals concepts of mathematics and how it can be applied in mathematics
• Teach students and give them concepts for mathematically analyzing information systems requirements in organizational setting.
Expected Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to,
• Explain the application of mathematics in information systems development
• Mathematically analyze Information Systems requirements and relate them to systems requirements
