Assessment Task
As a postgraduate Management student from Solent University, you are considering a career in Management. You have been asked to select an organisation to learn about how finance, operations, marketing and people are managed in that organisation; if you are employed then you may wish to choose your own employer. You should undertake research into the organisation and review case study material / management reports. Based upon your findings and the knowledge you have been developing on this unit, you need to complete the following task:
Task: Record a 15-minute presentation in which you:
1. Briefly outlining the key practices of people, finance, operations and marketing management in the organisation you have chosen.
2. Discuss how external and internal contexts influence the four business decision areas (i.e. people, finance, operations and marketing) in that organisation.
3. Explain how the organisation's business strategy influence management of people, finance, operations and marketing in the organisation.
The recording can be made using the 'Record Slide Show' feature in PowerPoint, or you can use screen recording software. The maximum permitted file size is 250MB, so you will need to save the presentation in an appropriate video file format with appropriate video quality settings. You must upload and submit the video recording of your presentation to SOL by the deadline shown at the top of this brief.
