SCENARIO
You are a business student specializing in human resource management. You haveworked for five years in the human resources departmentof your company.
In February 2012, your organization hired a human resource management consultancy firm to help it to manage growth. After conducting a human resource management audit of your organization, the firm recommended that your organization appoint a human resources director to examine how human resources are being currently managed in your organization.
The CEO then decided to hire a human resources director.In November 2012, you became the company’s HR director.
Required
This task requires you to conduct research into how human resources are managed in your organization and write a report on it.
Task
As the company’s HR director, visit all parts of your organization and conduct interviews with the following people:
(a) 2 shareholders;
(b) 2 managers;
(c) 2 employees.
You must plan for the interviews by writing the interview questions that you want to ask each group above. You must analyze your interviews and then write a report titled “Managinghuman resources at (your organization’s name).” You must include a short profile of your company in your report.
Your report should be unified and coherent. It must not exceed 4,000 words. Attach the interview transcripts or filled questionnaires to the report as Appendix A. Attach any documents obtained from your organization to the report as Appendix B.
To successfully complete the task, you must:

4.Explain how a model of flexibility might be applied inpractice.

6.Assess the use of flexible working practices from boththe employee and the employer perspective.
7.Discuss the impact that changes in the labor markethave had on flexible working practices.
8.Explain the forms of discrimination that can take place in the workplace.
9.Discuss the practical implications of equal opportunities legislation for an organization.
10.Compare the approaches to managing equal opportunities and managing diversity.
11.Compare different methods of performancemanagement.
12.Assess the approaches to the practice of managingemployee welfare in a selected organization.
13.Discuss the implications of health and safety legislationon human resources practices.
14.Evaluate the impact of one topical issue on humanresources practices.
15.Identify and apply strategies to find appropriate solutions.
16.Select/design and applyappropriate methods/techniques
17.Present and communicate appropriate findings.
18.Critically evaluated own work and justified with valid conclusions.
19.Take responsibility for managing and organizing activities.
