Assessment Scenario

For this assignment, you will be acting as the Head of Transformation tasked to produce a "Digital Transformation Report'' proposal for the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) leadership team - for ONE of the companies below. You must critically evaluate and recommend digital changes that your chosen company must implement in order to survive the ever-changing digital business environment. Your report must be written in the 3rd person (as opposed to using I or we).

A Canada-based company that provides intelligent security software and services to enterprises

Japanese brand and manufacturer of computers and electronic devices for consumers and industry.

Cineworld Group plc is a British cinema operator headquartered in London, England. It is the world's second-largest cinema chain.

Task 1: Opportunities and challenges analysis

Provide a clear background to your chosen organisation, including the type of organisation, size of the organisation, range of products and services, customer base and which markets it operates.

Critically evaluate current digital disruption challenges your organisation is currently facing in areas of marketing and sales, emerging technology adoption and business model evolution.

Analyse and recommend 3 digital transformation objectives that Strategy & Transformation (S&T) leadership team can apply to mitigate the above challenges.

Task 2: Implement the Digital Business Agility Mode

Use the Digital Business Agility Model (Hyperawareness, Make Informed Decisions and Fast Execution).

Critically analyse and recommend key emerging technologies that your chosen company must implement in order to adjust their business model and stay competitive in the market (please consider some innovative tech such as IoT, Machine Learning, VR, AR Robotic Process Automation (RPA), 3D printing etc..).

Task 3: Build a Digital Ready Culture

For this task, you must critically evaluate and present a new approach on how your chosen company should install a digital-ready culture to support digital transformation.

Specifically, for this task, you need to advise on how your organisation can create a digital-ready culture by:
Putting customers first
Creating a collaborative culture
Instilling a culture of innovation
Becoming a digital champion

Task 4: Digital Leadership

Analyse and propose important digital leadership skills that your organisation needs to develop to support digital transformation through a process of building new capacities, structures, and ways of working. You can use the Goleman's leadership styles as a blueprint to develop your argument.
