Course Description:

This course is an introductory course in information technology. It provides an overview of the major topics and expectations of an information technology graduate. It builds a foundation of digital literacy skills that are necessary in a technologically driven society.

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Relate the academic discipline of Information technology with other computing disciplines.

2. Describe the major areas or topics that comprise the IT discipline.

3. Describe ICTs including their components, the environment and the people involved.

5. Use common ICTs like using computers, telephones, televisions, radios e.t.c
