Course Description

The course enables students to acquire knowledge and skills on electrical instrumentation and measurements.

Course Objectives

The course aims to enable students to:

a) Understand characteristics of measurement instruments during construction and operation;

b) Acquire knowledge on measurement control and application of instruments to measure various quantities;

c) Correctly calibrate measurement instruments;

d) Study various transducers and sensors.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:

a) Demonstrate the construction, operation and the understanding of the characteristic of measurement instruments;

b) Demonstrate correct use of instruments in measuring various quantities;

c) Calibrate measurement instruments;

d) Use transducers and sensors in circuits.
