Scenario (Task 1 & 2)
Any business organization will have a collection of people working towards the achievement of a common objective. In this context you will witness many functions and processes within a Business organization. These functions and processes do not operate in isolation. Each and every function and process will be having their own agendas, cultures, management styles etc. The real challenge of Management is to make sure these individual building blocks do perfectly fit in to the corporate level Goals and Objectives.
Scenario (Task 3)
Quality has many perspectives, but in the practical business world what matters is meeting the customer’s perception of Quality. Assume you have recently started working as the Quality Manager at Al Marai and you have been given the task of designing a magazine on Managing Business Activities. Your team includes you as the Team Lead and Three more members.
The purpose of this magazine is to educate all employees the importance of monitoring systems to improve the organisation’s performance. The insert can be colourful, using unique pictures (not taken from websites but your own designs) and the whole insert must not be more than 12 pages. You must come up with a name for the insert, design a cover page for your insert which is creative (and not off the internet) and also the magazine must have an editorial and a brief introduction into the writers.
Each group must select an Editor in Chief (Team Lead at Al Marai), and he or she is the one to write the editorial. All the group members must be showcased in their own articles. Each question must be an article and each should be owned by a team member (but, you can have inputs from the other members). You are free to formulate titles for each article. Remember this must be a magazine insert and you are expected to be creative.
Scenario (Task 4)
You are required to carry out a presentation to understand the Healthy Safety Measures taken and risks involved in a company of your choice.
