HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT ASSESSMENT
Task 1 - HR Management
This section of the handbook should cover the following:
- Details of the difference/s between the Personnel Management and HR management approaches. You should include details of the
HRM related tasks / responsibilities of line managers in the organisation to illustrate how HRM can contribute to the businesses overall
objectives.
- Details of the current UK data protection legislation and analysis of the impact that the legislation has on the HRM procedures of the organisation.

Task 2 - Recruitment and Selection
This section of the handbook should use diagrams to show the following:
- Stages involved, and the importance of, the HR planning processes at your chosen organisation. (If ‘HR Planning’ does not currently take place in your chosen organisation you should describe how it should or could be executed in your chosen organisation)
- The current recruitment and selection processes of the chosen organisation and one other organisation operating in a similar industry.
You should then evaluate the approaches being used by the two organisations and suggest three improvements to the current processes
at your organisation.

Task 3 - Reward and Motivation
This section of the handbook should cover the following:
- Explanation of ‘job evaluation’ and how and why is it used within the organisation.
(If ‘job evaluation’ does not currently take place in your chosen organisation you should describe how it should / could be executed in your
chosen organisation)
- A list, together with short descriptions, of methods used (or those that could / should be used) by the organisation to monitor the performance of employees.
- An outline of the reward systems that are in place at your chosen organisation and a short explanation of how those systems are linked to motivation theory.

Task 4 - Employee Exit
This section of the handbook should cover the following:
- Outline of the reasons for leaving the organisation and a comparison of the exit procedures used by the organisation with one other organisation in a different industry.
- An outline of the current legislation relating to redundancy with analysis of the impact this may have on the redundancy procedures of the organisation.
