ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH STUDIES
Course Description
The course examines interface between computer engineering, environment and health. It provides a scientific understanding of causes, and possible future approaches to control of the major environmental health problems in industrialized and developing countries.
Course Objectives
The course aims to enable students to:
a) Understand the sources of conflict in the complex and contentious relations surrounding environmental health concerns
b) Understand the relationship between environment and health
c) Comprehend the need for environmental protection
d) Effectively participant in environmental protection
e) Appreciate the need for healthy living
f) Become aware of hazardous computer hardware material to the environment
g) Assess health related issues due to the computer engineering industry
