During the Early Modern Period, both England and France experienced civil war and revolution which ultimately transformed their respective systems of governing. Yet, this transformation occurred very differently in each country, with dramatically different outcomes. Compare and contrast the mechanism for change in each country, as well as the political and social change it prompted. After Identifying the primary participants, their motives and goals, and the critique levied against the monarchy in each country, describe their respective outcomes.
