Development of Fine Art Language

Aim

This unit aims to develop learners’ awareness of fine art as a means of communication and extend their knowledge of visual language through application in their own work.

Learning outcomes

LO1 Understand the role of visual language in historical and contemporary fine art

1.1 Research visual language used by historical and contemporary fine artists

1.2 Evaluate others’ use of visual language

LO2 Understand how visual language conventions are used in fine art
