Learning Outcomes -

Tasks -
1. Design and describe a single tuning circuit that can receive frequencies of 96MHz, 100MHz and 104MHz. What are the mechanisms to avoid the side channel noise and improve the frequency selection?
2. Design and describe an indirect FM modulator to generate an FM carrier with the carrier frequency of 96MHz and frequency deviation of 20KHz. A narrow band FM generator with carrier frequency of 200KHz and adjustable frequency deviation in the range of 9 to 10 Hz is available. The stock room also has an oscillator with adjustable frequency in the range of 9 to 10MHz. There is a band pass filter with any center frequency, and only frequency doublers are available.
3. Develop and describe a network communication model for any large building application of your choice (educational institute or industry etc.) utilising at least two different technologies among Bluetooth, GSM, RFID and CAN. (10 MARKS) Develop a protocol for each of the following scenario along with its message scheduling policy.
1. Identification of a person when enters into the building.
2. Handling an emergency scenario.
