Business analytics and Intelligence

Try to gather data using various sources
Use FAME, IBISWORLD and Statista to gather some data
Ask your questions if you need any help regarding to data gathering.
Prepare some new academic published papers related to the Business Analytics and Decision Making

Your report should contain
A table of contents

• List of Figures and Tables
• An executive summary
• Introduction
• Conclusion
• Literature review
• References

It is expected that:

You consider at least 5 recently published academic journal papers.

You discuss about your selected variables and companies.

Plot appropriate tables, graphs and develop appropriate dashboard to visualize the data.

Compute the summary statistics and describe the properties of your variables. You should report and interpret descriptive statistics of selected variables. It should include central tendency (Mean, Median, Mode) and spread measures (Range, IQR and Variance), skewness and etc.

Identify the relationship among the variables by computing the correlation and regression analysis for the variables, using appropriate software (eg spreadsheet, SPSS etc)

Interpret the data output in the light of business analytics and intelligence in the Automotive parts companies.

Please attend in an extra meetings which will be scheduled for 18th of Jun and 2nd of Jul 2021. You can ask your questions and I will give you a feedback about your prepared report.
Schedule the whole work to be completed before the deadline. Please try to submit your report and presentation video at least some hours before the deadline.

An executive summary

Introduction- [approx. 50 words]

Background- About the whole Retail industry and business analytics. [approx. 100 words]

Section 1 - About key concepts of Business Analytics and its role on decision making [approx. 150 words]

Section 2 - Visual dashboard of the whole industry. [approx. 150 words]
Visualization of gathered data of Retail industry with plotting appropriate tables, graphs. Interpret your provided figures and charts.

Section 3 - Descriptive Analytics.
Compute summary statistics of your selected variables. Explain why these variables have been selected. Explain and interpret calculated summary statistics including Mean, Median, Mode, Skewness, Range, IQR and Variance. Discuss that why these summary statistics are useful and how they can help you in your analysis. [approx. 200 words]
Section 4 - Predictive Analytics.

Identify the relationship among the chosen variables by computing the correlation and regression analysis for the variables, using appropriate software (eg spreadsheet, SPSS etc) to uncover patterns and show changes over time. First of all you should determine that which variables are dependent and which variables are independent variables. You should discuss about your idea on this regard. [approx. 225 words]

Conclusion- In this section, in addition to your conclusions, you will recommend as a business analyst based on your analysis and interpretations to management about the future prospect of the sector. [approx. 125 words]
