Healthcare waste is not just clinical waste and includes a lot of the waste types that you have covered within 'Waste Management'. For this assignment, you are to deliver an oral presentation on the healthcare waste sector within your home country and make recommendations for improvement.

Your presentation should cover the aspects of the current situation (for example costs, quantity and legislation), the routes of disposal. This should be followed by how clinical and 'offensive / human hygiene' waste is dealt with. You should then conclude with recommendations for improvement to minimise waste following the waste hierarchy.

It is expected that you will use PowerPoint and you will deliver your presentations face to face.
