Assignment

The owners of a small, private, exclusive gym are planning to spend a substantial amount of money on renovating and expanding the gym in order to increase customer satisfaction in the short run and revenues through higher fees in the long run. However, they want to make sure that the money is wisely spent on facilities that their customers want. They have therefore decided to collect some data and base their decisions on analysis of the collected data.

The owners have approached you, as a Business student, to assist them in the collection of data.

In particular, they would like you to:
• Based on your knowledge, explain to them why a questionnaire is the best method of data collection for this project.
• Suggest what data they need to collect.
• Design a questionnaire which they can use to collect the required data, with a justification for the questions you have included.

What you need to do

Question 1: Discuss the validity of an appropriate technique for the purpose collecting data for the given scenario

Question 2: Identify the type of data required to help make a decision

Question 3: Compile a template that can be used for the purpose of future data collection
