Students are required to:
Write a 3000 word paper discussing the approaches and techniques used when managing and maximizing revenue in hospitality businesses. Your response should address the range of revenue management techniques used in controlling costs, marketing and pricing strategies, yield management, capacity allocation and in the management of capacity.
Your response should include examples of these techniques which are used by hotel, restaurant and bar operations that you are familiar with, either through your work experience or as a customer.
Marks will be awarded for:
- Critical application and integration of hospitality financial and revenue management concepts / models
- Awareness of marketing and operational factors in revenue management
- Viability of practical applications
- Coherent development of report to include presentation, quality of sources and referencing
