The Internet of Things
Practical Project:
You would undertake a practical project involving the design, construction and programming of an Internet of Things device (usually based on Arduino or Raspberry PI hardware). The scope of the project should be relevant to your work, interests or experience.
You would need to
- Write a report on work carried out and the results obtained (approximately 2000 words).
- Create a video demonstrating your work (should cover all the features and function of the project)
Project topics are subject to approval and it will be necessary to demonstrate the scope of the work to be carried out and the availability of any required resources. Work on a project should not begin until approval has been given.
Working either alone or in a team of approximately three, you will undertake the practical work and develop both a written report and video. Should you wish to form a team, you will be able to make contact with others via the discussion forum. It is important to note that the work undertaken by each team member will be marked separately.
Additional Costs: Please note that in the case that you undertake project work which involves the development of hardware, then you will be responsible for procuring (or gaining access to) components, tools, test equipment and the like. This therefore represents an additional cost which is not included in the Programme fees.
